New seizures applied by the CARA of the NAC. A bank account of 1 million lei, among the goods seized last week

The NAC's Crime Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) seized a bank account, a construction site, a car and a dwelling, based on prosecutors' delegations last week. The estimated value of the goods is about 1.5 million lei. At the same time, 174 applications were sent to different authorities, in order to obtain relevant data for several criminal cases.

In addition to the criminal assets recovery component, the NAC has carried out its activity on other dimensions as well, as corruption prevention, analytics, expertise and anticorruption education.

Thus,

· The analytical department completed 12 operational analyzes and started 4 new operational analyzes. Currently, the Directorate has 120 operational and strategic analyzes in the procedure;

· The Anti-Corruption Legislation and Expertise Department received 30 draft normative acts for expertise, 15 expert reports and 8 opinions were submitted to the authors, and 24 are in the process;

· 1242 materials were registered in the Chancellery of the Center;

· 39 calls were received at the National Anticorruption Hotline;

. The Anti-Corruption Education Directorate carried out 13 information and awareness-raising activities. During the trainings, 700 officials from several public entities were informed about the risks and consequences of involvement in acts of corruption, as well as about the rigors of professional and personal integrity. Another 16 sessions are planned for the current week;

· 118 integrity records were issued;

. At this time, no one is being detained in the NAC detention center. In total, 16 people retained by the NAC are being held in several penitentiaries in the country.
