Synthesis of the week: the Anticorruption Education Directorate under the NAC has provided several training sessions in the field of integrity and anticorruption
23.04.2021 18 ViewsDuring this week, the Anticorruption Education Directorate under the NAC has provided several training sessions in the field of integrity and anticorruption, in collaboration with the public institutions. They are aimed at promoting integrity standards and controlling professional and institutional integrity.
On April 21, the seminar was held on “Ethics and Integrity. Integrity Control”, the event organized within the course of the Academy of Public Administration “Management and Leadership”, intended for the managers of subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The following subjects were addressed: institutional integrity and authorities with the attributes of integrity control, institutional integrity assessment and corruption risks management within the MIA institutions.
The training session had the goal to develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills of operational managers within the institutions of the MIA regarding implementation, compliance and promotion of anticorruption and integrity standards, as well as, management of corruption risks in the professional activity.
During two days, in collaboration with the Training Center of the National Administration of Penitentiaries, two trainings took place on “General Aspects on Anticorruption and Integrity” and “National Legislative Framework on Anticorruption Policies in the Public Sector”. The lectures were organized for public enforcement agents within penitentiary institutions, in accordance with the initial continuous training plan of the penitentiary administration system.
Public agents have discussed the concepts of corruption, anticorruption and integrity; integrity requirements as well as employment, merit promotion and professional integrity, legal regime of incompatibilities, restrictions in the hierarchy and limitations of publicity, legal regime of conflicts of interest, legal regime of gifts and non-admission, denunciation of corruption manifestations and protection of whistleblowers.
Anticorruption sessions, organized by the NAC, are the part of the professional training programs of the public entities and of the Curriculum of the professional training for public officials, elaborated by the Academy of Public Administration. The trainings are aimed at familiarizing public agents with the integrity standards and developing practical skills in the application of procedures.
