14.02.2020 9 ViewsOver 350 pupils and students from education institutions from the country will test their knowledge in the field of corruption prevention within an interactive competition" Pro-integrity Quiz", organized by the National Anticorruption Center in collaboration with UNDP.
The competition will bring together young people from several districts of the country, with each team taking part in five competitions. The grand finale will take place in April, in Chisinau.
The competition will include a preparatory stage in which the participants will study various sources about the mechanisms of preventing corruption and promoting integrity, and further they will apply their knowledge in an intellectual completion. During the game, the participants who provide wrong answers will be eliminated, the winner will be the last participant who will answer the questions correctly and quickly.
The competition will take place in Cahul, Soroca, Balti, Hancesti, Sangerei, Criuleni, Orhei, Straseni, and Ungheni.
" The purpose of this activity is to strengthen integrity culture among the younger generation, through the prism of some interactive models of assimilation of the information on the premises and effects of the corruption phenomenon", mentioned Ion Pruteanu, the head of the directorate of the NAC.
" Young people are the integrity messengers; they have an extremely important role in preventing corruption. In the framework of this intellectual competition they will have the possibility to consolidate their knowledge in this field and, subsequently, promote the culture of integrity among their peers," says Olga Crivoliubic, the UNDP project manager.
The competition is organized with the support of the project" Curbing corruption by sustainable integrity in the Republic of Moldova" implemented by the UNDP in collaboration with the National Anticorruption Center, with the financial support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The duration of the project is 2019-2021.
