The NAC and the IPRE strengthen their efforts, through a Memorandum, to more effectively investigate cases of high corruption
27.06.2022 605 ViewsA memorandum of understanding was concluded today between the National Anticorruption Center(NAC) and the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE). According to the document, signed by the director of CNA, Iulian Rusu and Iulian Groza, the executive director of IPRE, the two institutions aim to make the criminal investigation of the causes of great corruption more efficient. Thus, NAC and IPRE will work, in cooperation with development partners, within the project "Ensuring an integrated, efficient and independent justice system in the Republic of Moldova", the general goal of the project being to strengthen the integrity, efficiency and independence of the justice system in the Republic Moldova.
The memorandum is concluded for a period of one and four months and provides a useful platform for increasing efficiency in the criminal investigation of high-level corruption cases in the Republic of Moldova, by organizing study visits, providing technical assistance in the process of strengthening institutional capacities of the NAC, but also contracting of expertise in the context of investigation of high-level corruption cases and financial crimes, including transnational ones.
We mention that the National Anticorruption Center, along with other institutional actors in the field of justice, will cooperate within the project "Ensuring an integral, efficient and independent justice system in the Republic of Moldova", funded by the Soros Foundation Moldova.
